Contemplating Christmas Cards

Every year I tell myself I’m going to write a family newsletter and send it out with a pretty picture in a meaningful card in the run-up to Christmas. Care to guess how many times in seven years of marriage that’s actually happened? Yep – zero. This year is shaping up to be no different, but that hasn’t stopped me from dreaming…

This “wreck the halls” design is too cute, and I can definitely see using a photo of Serenity surrounded by toy and holiday devastation. At 2.5 years old, she’s definitely got “wreck the halls” down to a science!

This golden foil-pressed design makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I love the Christmas song, “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, and it immediately starts running through my head any time I see the phrase. So this design could be a good fit.

Minted is one of my favorite sources for unique card designs, and this booklette card is an ideal example. It’s got eight customizable pages, so you can tell a story and share multiple pictures with your loved ones, right in your card! I love this design, and in future years I definitely want to use it, myself! I love that it’s not just a card, not just a letter, but a keepsake.

This is my favorite card design – it’s perfect for the hectic year we’ve just had as a family. Crazy, busy, by no means perfect, and often really, really hard – but absolutely wonderful, anyway. If I’m able to pull things together in time to order cards this year (fingers crossed), I’m pretty sure this is the design I want to use.

I really love the selection of Christmas and holiday cards from Minted. They’re funny and meaningful, playful and elegant, clever and classic by turns, and every design feels personal and unique. If you’re still looking for the perfect design for your family’s card this holiday season, be sure to check them out!

They have such cute cards! I want to make some with my little boy on them.

    1. Aren’t they, though? How old is your son?

I need to get mine ordered. I took the photos, but of course I am procrastinating on the other. These are great styles of cards.

    1. We’re waiting on our photos – a friend agreed to shoot one for us, but we’re not sure when or where, yet, so we’ll see if it actually happens! #lol

Every year we say we’re going to make our own, and then never do. Still have never done it!

    1. I definitely feel your pain. I actually managed to make and order birth announcements when Serenity was born in Spring 2012, but ran out of money before I could buy postage, so they’re STILL sitting in my desk drawer. I have no clue what to do with them, but they’re so pretty and sweet I can’t bear to just toss them! #sadpanda
