Hello, Fall.

Fall is in the air, and my mother-in-law is already busy sewing autumn apparel for her grand-babies. She came over the other day with an adorable dress for Serenity, and we had a little photo session in the front yard.

Serenity adores her “Gwama tutus”, almost as much as she loves running around outside in her bare feet. She’s also a huge fan of the fun characters on the Halloween-themed fabric of the skirt, and the pretty orange bodice that compliments her red hair.

Cindy is a pattern tester for a couple of designers, and this is her latest creation. I told you about her first design test for the Ollie + Annie Collection last month.

It was fun taking detail shots for Cindy’s review of the latest Ollie + Annie design. She recently launched her own blog — Congrats!! ? — and wrote about this dress over there. Be sure to leave her a little comment love!

My friend Chiffon – owner and artist behind Crafty Cavy – embroidered the cute “BOO!” on the front of the dress. See the little spiders?? I never thought I’d say this, but I think those spiders and their webs are adorable. Chiffon’s website is down right now, but you can find her work on Facebook. Be sure to tell her Alena sent you when you stop by! ? I’ll be telling you more about her work in a few weeks when I show you the custom Rarity pony plush (from My Little Pony) that she made for Serenity’s 2nd birthday.

What’s your favorite thing about the Fall season?

    1. Thanks! ? I love taking pictures of my little scamp, and I really need to do it more often, especially with the weather beginning to change.

First off adorable, that dress and her cute little face! What a fun Fall dress!

    1. Thanks! ? The only sad thing about these cute dresses is that she’ll eventually outgrow them. She’s getting a ton of mileage from this one, though – she’s worn it about 4 times already!

What a cute Halloween outfit! My favorite Fall tradition is caramel apples and the apple orchards, their a must every season!

Caramel apples are the best! I love them. I gave one to my nephew just a little too soon, and I ended up having to extract it out of his hair. =/

      1. You know, I’ve never had a caramel apple. Dipped apple slices in caramel, yes. But the whole, dipped apple? Nope. I saw one that was stuffed with caramel pecans, though, that looked phenomenal!!

    1. If you sew, you should definitely check out Cindy’s review (link’s in the post). These patterns are very reasonable, and she says they’re usually goof for beginners.
