Fall is in the air, and my mother-in-law is already busy sewing autumn apparel for her grand-babies. She came over the other day with an adorable dress for Serenity, and we had a little photo session in the front yard.
Serenity adores her “Gwama tutus”, almost as much as she loves running around outside in her bare feet. She’s also a huge fan of the fun characters on the Halloween-themed fabric of the skirt, and the pretty orange bodice that compliments her red hair.
Cindy is a pattern tester for a couple of designers, and this is her latest creation. I told you about her first design test for the Ollie + Annie Collection last month.
It was fun taking detail shots for Cindy’s review of the latest Ollie + Annie design. She recently launched her own blog — Congrats!! ? — and wrote about this dress over there. Be sure to leave her a little comment love!
My friend Chiffon – owner and artist behind Crafty Cavy – embroidered the cute “BOO!” on the front of the dress. See the little spiders?? I never thought I’d say this, but I think those spiders and their webs are adorable. Chiffon’s website is down right now, but you can find her work on Facebook. Be sure to tell her Alena sent you when you stop by! ? I’ll be telling you more about her work in a few weeks when I show you the custom Rarity pony plush (from My Little Pony) that she made for Serenity’s 2nd birthday.
