Serenity is a huge fan of all things “pwetty”, especially things she can wear. She would wear a dress every day of the week, if I let her! And some days, I do. Why not, right? So when the “unpredictable clothing company”, Matilda Jane, offered to send Serenity an outfit from their new Paint By Numbers collection, I accepted gladly!
The Paint By Numbers collection is full to bursting with adorable clothing that’s as unique as it is beautiful. I think it took me at least three hours to decide which outfit we wanted to review – I want to fill Serenity’s closet with every item offered!
Right away, we were impressed with the quality and thoughtfulness put into the packaging and presentation of the clothing sent to us. Each garment was individually tagged with a removable boutique-style tag made from linen paper, fabric, ribbon, and metal grommets. The Paint By Numbers logo is screen printed onto the fabric part of the tag, and when you lift it up, you reveal and adorable and nostalgic paint-by-number fawn illustration. Too cute!
The clothing came packaged in individual garment bags – beautiful coral colored mesh, screen printed with the Paint By Numbers logo – and all three bags were wrapped in pretty color coordinated tissue paper, and sealed with a logo-imprinted sticker. The package also contained a pretty card detailing the contents.
We received three garments from the Paint By Numbers collection, in toddler size 2…
Nick and I absolutely LOVE the Paint By Numbers collection from Matilda Jane!!! These clothes are absolutely adorable, and extremely well made. Not only are they beyond cute, but the materials and design details are high quality and well executed.
And, bonus – the shirt and leggings work as a stand alone combination, so this set of garments presents the option of two separate outfits. Three, actually, because you could also have your child wear the dress without the leggings or shirt!
See that stitching?? I’m telling you, these clothes are not going to come apart easily. How many brands can say that about children’s clothing?
I love the different fabrics and the eclectic button selections. It’s reminiscent of the 70’s, but stands alone as a truly unique style and design. I just found out that Matilda Jane offers clothing for adults, and I am extremely excited!! Call me crazy, but I adore the wild and whimsical patterns and designs these fabulous designers come up with, and I want them for me almost as much as I do for my daughter!
Matilda Jane offers several collections – each different, all unique and whimsical – and introduces a new collection every year. In addition to their website, you can connect with them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and Vimeo, and they even have a blog! If you check them out, be sure to tell them that Alena and Serenity from The Homemade Creative sent you!
