There will be a few more words in this Wordless Wednesday post than usual, but bear with me, because it’s for a fun reason, and I think you’ll approve.
Back in January, I transferred my blog from free hosting to self-hosting, and in the mayhem that followed, my blog’s email stopped working. Considering that a good 70% of what I do takes place via email, this was a rather exciting problem! I had expressed interest in hosting a #DisneySide party, but promptly forgot I had done so in the holiday chaos, and never saw the confirmation email because of my technical difficulties.
Thankfully, not all consequences are bad, and one of the results of this fiasco was that when a giant box full of fun party stuff from Disney showed up on my doorstep, it was a complete surprise!
The box included a ton of fun party supplies and favors, all neatly packaged inside a beautiful piece of American Tourister luggage (I got this one, in green).
We were supposed to host our #DisneySide party back in February, but illness (ours and then everyone we know, it seemed) kept pushing back the date. We were finally able to hold it at the end of March.
My talented father-in-law made fun balloon characters for party decorations! Serenity adores Pluto. He’s still hanging out around the house, though his poor nose died.
Sully and Mike came to the party, and the kids watched Monsters University while the grown ups gabbed. We opted for healthy snacks – celery and carrots, oranges and grapes – in our cupcake wrappers, and the kids loved the boxes of craisins.
We also had cheesy flatbread pizzas. Yum! The kids loved it.
At the end of the party, each family took home a beautiful Mickey & Minny art print, 2014 calendar cards featuring the new Muppets movie that just released, packs of 5×7 photo cards from HP, and more! One lucky mom went home with a set of measuring cups from The Chew as a door prize, and all of the kids got to take home extra boxes of craisins, and other fun stuff.
And that, my friends, is my not-so-Wordless Wednesday post.
